Join us!
We invite fly scientists from all disciplines to share their research at the Midwest Drosophila Conference on Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, 2022. We're still planning, and more information will be added to this site as details are finalized.
Our meeting promotes interactions among PIs, students, and postdocs. It's a great opportunity for students and postdocs to give talks alongside senior researchers. Prizes will be awarded for the best talks, posters, and fly art.
The conference will be held in person and online this year.
Registration is open!

Submit your BEST fly art!
After an amazing turnout last year, we're holding the fly art contest again this year!
All work MUST be your own. A panel of judges will select the best art, and a Fan Favorite will be decided live at the meeting. There will be prizes!
We will have two categories this year: 1) Microscopy — can be from any type of microscope (ie. confocal, spinning disc, stereoscope); 2) Artwork — drawings, paintings, sculpture, etc.
Submit images of your work to MidwestFlyMeeting2022@gmail.com with the subject line “ART”
Submissions are due Monday Oct 17th at 11:59pm CST
